If you put up a real tree, what kind? Balsam, White Pine, Fraser Fir, Canaan fir, Douglas fir...other?
Artificial or real?
If I was to put up a real tree it wouldnt matter what kind, So long as it was real. All we ever used were artificial trees when I was growing up... and I hated it. They smelled like moth balls and were a pain in the butt to put together.
Reply:I PUT UP A ARTIFICIAL TREE,JUST A SMALL ONE BECAUSE I WILL BE ALONE THIS CHRISTMAS WITH MY 2 BABY'S DOGS,AND LISTEN TO CHRISTMAS SONGS.
Reply:It depends. Trees smell different, some lose their needles easily, some are bred not to shed at all. Some are more expensive. Douglas trees are great. They smell wonderful, don;t lose very msny needles, but they are a little pricey. The best thing to do is go tot a tree farm, not a tree lot. Farms are usually cheaper and have more of a variety and you can just look around and find the perfect tree. Just make sure to measure the room where you plan to put the tree and the tree. You don't want a tree that won't fit, but too small a one will just not look right. Happy tree hunting!!!!!!
Reply:I like the Douglas fur the best they smell so good...
Reply:I prefer artificial just because my dog always pee's on the real tree
Reply:Douglus Fir those are the best trees
Reply:I have switched to artificial because trees just don't have that heavenly scent any more. We got a Martha Stewart prelite Douglas Fir on sale last year and my Hubby is very happy. No more fights with the lights and I'm happy because it has LOTS of lights, just the way it should in my opinion. Merry Christmas Lamplight.
Reply:for various reasons, i've switched to faux, but back in the day, i always got a fraser fir - nice, short needles that don't fall off, sturdy branches to hold heavy ornaments and great smell.
Reply:a real one! and for you up there who has a dog who pees on the tree...you should take him for walks more often!!!!
Reply:If it's real, a Douglas fir...but we are going artificial this year due to the hassle we had last year bringing it up 2 flights of stairs and cleaning pine needles up for a year.!!! Merry Christmas!!!!
Reply:7 feet douglas fir and a 7 feet artificial
Reply:Mango tree.
Reply:A real balsam fir tree. It is a family tradition. If we lived in a place they were expensive I think we would buy an artificial tree but here in Vermont they are not.
Reply:We can't use a real tree.
