Christmas trees?

What are the differences between a Balsam Fir and a Frasier Fir? What kind of tree is considered a tradional Christmas tree? Thanks for your answers.

Christmas trees?
Balsam has flatter, medium green needles arranged "flat" along the branchlets. This is an old fashioned tree, you could say traditional... but that varies geographically.

Fraser Fir has darker green needles with a silver underside, needles are arranged in a half moon pattern, with needles above and to the sides (flat across the bottom of the branchlets). It has the fragrance of citrus. Excellent needle retention. Sometimes refered to as "Southern" balsam. Probably the most popular fresh cut tree currently.

Sorry that the answer comes so late...

I hope that this helps
Reply:in the fir family of trees the difference between trees is the size of the branches and the needles. as far as a traditional xmas tree goes, i think its pretty much whatever the germans found back then, my apologies is i didnt answer the question right.
