Here I am, Friday the 13th (a lucky day for me), all alone in my forest ... what's a boy pagan to do?

My nine dogs are getting ready for their group howl (we all howl at sunset, to ward off the coyotes).

Nice bed of moss waiting out there, and the wind is up and cool so the bugs have nested in the bark of the trees.

Cedar and Balsam Poplar smell so sweet.

And the raspberries in my bushes are ripe and juicy.

What -am- I to do?

Here I am, Friday the 13th (a lucky day for me), all alone in my forest ... what's a boy pagan to do?
Strip down as far as you can and experience the forest and the glory of the great mother. Lie down on the moss, smell the flowers and the trees, watch all the woodland creatures, drink from a spring if there is one, eat the fruit that the mother has given you as her bounty. If you watch carefully maybe you will see some of the small folk that inhabit the areas. Enjoy all that the Gods and Goddesses have provided for you.

Feel the gentle breezes watch as the sun sets and the moon takes her place among the stars. Listen to the sounds of nature, the music of the woods.

Just be careful and don't experience the poison ivy!

I shall be with you in spirit my friend.

Huggs and Blessings.

To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived... this is to have succeeded. -- Attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson
